Kickboxing is easy to learn and provides a fun and challenging workout that will make you look your best while feeling healthy, fit and strong. Finding the motivation to stay there is easy when learning with a group of like minded individuals at your own speed and skill level. Our knowledgeable and helpful trainers are committed to making sure you get the most out of each workout by providing proper K1 and Muay Thai Kickboxing instruction with technical demonstrations that motivate you to work hard and have fun.
Members participating in one of our typical recreational kickboxing classes will burn 800-1600 calories per class. Combining upper body punches such as a jab, cross, hook and uppercut with front, side, back and round kicks provide participants with a strenuous full body workout that will also prepare them for life’s most compromising situations. A wide variety of high energy warm up exercises and biometric conditioning drills also helps members increase strength, cardiovascular endurance while improving muscle tone and flexibility.
In our recreational kickboxing classes members are NOT expected to spar nor will they have to endure strikes from others. By using a variety of heavy bags, focus mitts and thai pads, members learn how to move, strike and defend using the same techniques as our competitive fighters.
We also offer a light-contact component for those who would like to try sparring in a non-competitive environment under instructor supervision.
A typical recreational kickboxing class starts with a 10 minute cardio warm up followed by 10 minutes of stretching and 30-45 minutes of technical instruction and practice before finishing with 10 minutes of conditioning exercises.
