Our adult Kung Fu classes are ideal for anyone bored of traditional gym workouts and looking for a fun and exciting way to stay healthy, fit and strong
At Double Dragon, we provide a state of the art, high performance facility with a variety of highly motivating and personable instructors. Our black sash Sifu instructors teach traditional Five Animal Style Shaolin Kung Fu along with a practical twist of modern day practical self-defense and sport martial arts. Our Kung Fu students learn both southern and northern Shaolin Kung Fu and practise a variety of traditional forms, weaponry, street proofing, Tao sports philosophy, chin’na (self defense), ground fighting, stone palm breaking and tournament style sparring.
Adults who participate in our Kung Fu program quickly begin to see a transformation in their lives as they start to live with more confidence, discipline, strength and respect. Our adult members range from 13 to 65 years of age and typically train for about 75 minutes 2-3 times a week learning and practising a variety of techniques, forms and exercises that build flexibility, coordination, athleticism and core strength while also promote cardiovascular endurance and weight management. Kung Fu students also learn how to condition their body and mind to be as strong as possible with full body conditioning and mental meditation that enables inner peace and relaxation as well as the confidence and know how to protect themselves or loved ones in life’s most compromising situations.
A typical adult Kung Fu class starts with a 10 minute cardio warm up followed by 10 minutes of stretching and 45 minutes of technical instruction and practice before finishing with 10 minutes of conditioning exercises.
